4th Generation of iPod Nano released

The new Nano not only looks better than ever but it has several new features to make your listening experience better than ever.

As soon as you pick up the sleek oval player you know you have your hands on something special. The one I had to test came in Orange but Apple have expanded the colour range across the spectrum. Its new oval shape feels great in your hand and its now thinner than ever.

If you are really enjoying a song and want to hear more in the same style then the new Genius feature which will find songs from your library and automatically create a Genius Playlist for you.

Like the iPod Touch you can now see the album artwork and browse through the covers by turning the device on its side, helping to keep album artwork alive in the 21st century.

A feature that I really loved was the Shuffle. To activate this just shake the Nano and it randomly picks a new song to listen to, a great way to rediscover forgotten songs.

Amazingly Apple have also managed to include the Accelerometer (first seen in the iPhone) to bring gaming on the Nano to a whole new level. The Nano comes with a game called Maze which sees you tilting and turning to guide yourself through vast mazes. Simple but incredibly addicitve.

Overall I loved the new iPod and would heartily recommed it to anyone looking to buy an mp3 player or upgrade.
